Ron Bedeau

Ron Bedeau began his hip hop career under the mentorship of Luther Brown. Since 1999, Ron studied and performed with legendary performance group "DoDat" as a featured performer. Ron was in good company at DoDat, working extensively with choreographer extraordinaire Luther Brown who has a talent for spotting and training dancers to be successful artists and choreographers in their own right and Ron is no exception.

 

As a featured DoDat performer, Ron opened up for Destiny's Child at Canada's Wonderland in 1999 and 2000. While on tour with Canadian Recording artists B4-4 Ron again opened up for Destiny's Child in front of a crowd of 20,000 in Calgary and Vancouver. He has also performed on tour or in live shows across North America with Keshia Chante, Shawn Desman, Deborah Cox, Ray Robinson, Jully Black and The Bare Naked Ladies.

 

In 2003, Ron was selected as a featured dancer in the major motion picture Honey. Ron was also chosen along with 7 other dancers to be a part of the "Skeleton Crew" who assisted the choreographers (Luther Brown and Laurie-Ann Gibson) by learning all the routines created for the movie. Ron was Jessica Alba's dance partner in rehearsals for the movie.

In 2005, Ron was cast as a featured dancer in Shall We Dance starring Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere and under the direction of choreographer Fatima Robinson. Fatima's credits include: The Backstreet Boys, Aaliyah, Akon, Fergie and Rihanna to name a few. Ron also worked with Rihanna as a featured dancer in her break out single "Pon De Replay". His other motion picture appearances include the 2006 hit sequel Save the Last Dance 2 (Stepping Up) starring Ne-Yo and Columbus Short of Stomp the Yard and Repo Genetic Opera starring Paris Hilton.

 

Ron has performed in three of the most celebrated dance choreographer's showcases in New York and L.A. known as "Carnival". This monthly showcase features the top names in choreography and their most elite dancers. Ron has had the privilege of teaching workshops alongside these choreographers from different dance genres. Namely, Linda Garneau and Kimberly Glasco, who is famous for her appearances in the National Ballet of Canada's rendition of Swan Lake.

 

As of late, Ron has assisted in choreography for Canada's very own Massari in his latest stage shows as well as video. Ron has earned his place amongst the elite in the hip hop industry here in Canada and has been blessed with the ability to not only perform but to continue to teach!
